Wednesday Walks
DATES TO BE CONFIRMED
Wednesday Walks are a chance for you to immerse yourself in the stunning coastal environment of North Cornwall. Reap the benefits of spending time overlooking the wild and rugged, and occasionally tranquil, Celtic Sea, and explore the history and wonder of this valuable and unspoilt Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Naturally, the coast path has some more challenging sections, but we will ensure that the group is available to people of all abilities. We’ll take the walk at your pace, and can offer alternatives to those who have additional requirements. There will be opportunities to exit the walk and get a lift back to Port Quin, if you need.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the button below.
Unless otherwise stated, the walk will start and end in the National Trust Car Park in Port Quin, PL293SU.
If you will have problems getting to us, please get in touch and we will see if we can help with transport.
Thursday on the Beach
DATES TO BE CONFIRMED
Like all beaches everywhere, beautiful Port Quin is awash with ocean waste. The strandline is clogged with macro- and micro-plastics, clothing, ghost gear and other waste related to the fishing industry.
In our Thursday on the Beach sessions, we will pick up as much of this waste as we can, identify it, report it and recycle as much of it as possible. What may seem like a small action can have a direct and immediate positive impact on marine wildlife and the marine and coastal environment.
If time and tide allows, we can also spend some time beach combing for treasures like sea glass, and we can uncover some of the extraordinary species that have adapted to survive the extremes of the intertidal zone.
Port Quin beach is accessible to most, and we can definitely accommodate adventurous wheelchair users! It is possible to enjoy Port Quin, even if you are not comfortable on the beach.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the button below.
Unless otherwise stated, Thursday on the Beach will start and end in the National Trust Car Park in Port Quin, PL293SU.

Port Quin
Port Quin is a historic fishing village which lies between Polzeath and Port Isaac on the North Cornwall Coast.
There is only one road in and out of the village, and the National Trust car park is the only large open area.
